Shipyard

These two belong to a shipyard which is more and more falling into disrepair. At the moment, these cranes are in the middle of a fenced off field of dirt. Doesn't seem like they'll be used again anytime soon.

Carfloat

Carfloat at Pier 52. The tracks could be elevated or lowered to load freight cars onto a ferry or barge. This carfloat was operated by the Western Pacific Railroad. Now abandoned and in disrepair -- big holes in the pier where you can easily fall into the water.

Saturday Afternoon

Spent Saturday afternoon at Crissy Field with dog and boyfriend and camera. Lots of photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, and some of the dog and boyfriend too. This is the bridge.

After the glamour of the Paramount, a close-up of the Strand Theater on Market Street. It spent it's last years as a porn theater, and now stands empty, probably awaiting the wrecking ball.

Alcoa Building

A 1964 building in the International Style, supposedly the first in the world with exterior steel beams. Originally known as the Alcoa Building, now known as One Maritime Plaza.
